Monster high is a franchise from Mattel about a.. you know.. High school full of monsters.. lmao. It's mainly known for the dolls
produced, but honestly, to me, the movies are equally as iconic. The franchise consists of shows, movies, web series, comics, books,
video games, and even dedicated websites that feature things such as quizzes and trivia!! Obviously a lot of these don't exist anymore,
however have been archived :) This shrine page will be less of a formal comprehensive history of monster high, but more of my own
personal thoughts and history, as well as more info!!
So.. wtf is even going on in the monster high universe? Basically, MH takes place in a universe where monsters and humans exist at
the same time, however are separated, and generally don't take kind to each other (but this is something that is canonically being
challenged. Also important to note that different monster species also tend not to interact with each other in this universe, but monster
high makes a point to accept students of all backgrounds!!). The main characters we are introduced to are based off of (canonically
children of) famous monsters. Some are move vague than others, while some are more specific, like how Frankie is the child of
Frankenstein's monster, and Draculaura is the daughter of Dracula, however Clawdeen is simply a werewolf and Ghoulia is a zombie,
both species having other students that belong to them in MH (Romulus, Sloman).
Another thing to understand about MH is that is has different generations!! Generation 1 (G1) is the original one, running from 2010,
Generation 2 (G2) is the sorta reboot that happened in 2016, although is generally irrelevant, lmao, and Generation 3 (G3) is the second
reboot that started in 2022. While most things are consistent through G1&2, G3 is the one that most different, most notably in providing
unique body sizes for the dolls (including plus size ones that I love!!), and making Frankie, who is (arguably) the main character, nonbinary!!
However that are still consistencies, for example all generations starting with Frankie being created just 15 days ago lol. While Frankie
does technically have different pronouns through different generations, I just refer to them with 'they' through all of them because its easier,
even if the main Gen ill be discussing on this page is G1, as its the one I grew up with :)
Characters!
Obviously, a series has to have main characters, and in this case it's the main 7!! (Sometimes Deuce Gorgon is included in this, and it's the
main 8, but honestly in G1 he's just kind of 'Cleo's boyfriend' so honestly who really cares lol). Even though most people consider the 7
to be the 'main characters, due to the frequency of their appearances the true MAIN characters imo are Frankie Stein, Draculaura,
Clawdeen Wolf, and Cleo De Nile. Lagoona Blue can also sometimes be included in this ig, but then the other two main characters that also
appear very often are Ghoulia Yelps and Abbey Bominable! There are other notable characters that I will also introduce as they gain relavance :)
Frankie Stein is the child of Frankenstein's monster! They are one of, if the THE, main character of the franchise, often having
plotlines revolve around them. They are canonically 15 days old (made to be 15y/o) at the beginning of them joining monster high,
and enjoy scientific subjects more than the others. They tend to be less used to living than the other main characters, for obvious
reasons, so they tend to be more trusting and naive!!
Draculaura is the (adopted) daughter of Dracula, she is 1600 years old (the vampire equivalent of being 16) and despite being a
vampire, she is vegetarian!! In G1, she is dating Clawd Wolf, who is Clawdeen's, her best friends, brother. She is bubbly and
easy-going, although because of her vampire lineage she has many powers and responsibilities!! Her birthday is Valentine's day!!
Clawdeen Wolf is a 15y/o Werewolf who attends the school with her older brother Clawd (also Draculaura's boyfriend), and her
younger sister Howleen. She also has an older sister called Clawdia who lives in Londoom (London, lol)!! She is outgoing and
energetic, and an aspiring fashion designer, although she also excels at sports. She was my fav growing up :)
Cleo De Nile is a ~6000y/o mummy, however still young enough to attend high school. She is a powerful and typically 'popular'
student, which often makes her act arrogant, although she is still kind deep down. She comes from a royal family and has an
older sister, Nefera, who takes every opportunity to sabotage her. Her best friend is Ghoulia and she is consistently seen dating
Deuce Gorgon, who is the son of Medusa.
Lagoona Blue is a 16y/o seamonster who joined monster high to learn more about the world outside the Great Scarrier Reef,
which is implied to be near this world's Australia. She is kind and friendly, and is dating Gil Webber, which causes a lot of
problems, considering she is a saltwater monster, while he is a freshwater one, as the two groups are unfriendly
against each other.
Ghoulia Yelps is a 16y/o zombie, and is shy and 'nerdy', yet the smartest student in all of monster high. She is close friends with
Cleo, as well as other zombies that attend MH. She speaks zombie language and is a big comic book enthusiast, even writing
and cosplaying some of her own!!
Abbey Bominable is one of the foreign students in MH through request by the headteacher, being a yeti from the Himalayas.
She is really straightforward and blunt, although still kind and friendly, she's a 16y/o and has powers such as manipulating ice,
and enjoys snow related activities. Abbey was introduced as a part of the main 7 later than the others.

I obviously can't fit everything about dolls, movies, ect ect on this page, so each of these things has it's own separate page!! I'm not sure how i'm gonna go over the dolls, but I have
